Inverness Rowing Club members had a very successful day at the annual Castle Semple Rowing Club's regatta at Lochwinnoch on Saturday 18th May recording four excellent wins, the open novice coxed quad sculls, the open masters coxed fours, the open masters coxless pairs and the women's junior 18 coxless pairs.

All other Inverness crew members aged from 14 to 76 performed with distinction in their variety of sculling and sweep oared events although just missing out on gold medal positions on what were conditions which ranged from very awkward bumpy conditions to almost flat calm water at the end of a very busy day for all concerned.

Grateful thanks to all the organisers from Castle Semple RC and all the parents and supporters from Inverness who did a sterling job in helping with trailer loading and assisting crews on and off the water throughout a long day of racing.

A more detailed report will follow later.
