A small group of seven ladies from Inverness Rowing Club travelled south to successfully compete in Glasgow Rowing Club’s Summer Regatta last Saturday.
Only two of the Inverness competitors had previously raced on the River Clyde so it was a new experience for the other five competitors.
Over the 1100 metre regatta course, success was achieved with wins in three women’s events entered, the veteran coxed fours, the novice quad sculls and the novice double sculls.
A very positive result and most enjoyable experience was had by all Inverness athletes at a well organised, friendly regatta, thanks to Glasgow Rowing Club.
