At the GB Rowing Senior Trials held on the 5000 metre course on the River Witham at Boston, Lincolnshire on Saturday 17th December, current world champion Imogen Walsh achieved an excellent 3rd place position in the women's lightweight single sculls category ahead of several other GB team athletes in a time of 20 minutes 3.58 seconds.

In the men's heavyweight single sculls category amongst a field of 58 other high quality athletes, Alan Sinclair claimed a highly satisfactory 7th place in a time of 18 minutes 53.56 seconds.
